How to Measure Your Body Accurately
Measure straight across the back from the edge of one shoulder bone straight to the edge of the other shoulder bone.
Wrap the measuring tape under your arms and straight across the fullest part of your bustline, keeping tape level across the back.
Measure around your natural waistline, typically located about 1 to 2 inches above the belly button at the narrowest point of your torso.
Stand with your heels together and measure around the fullest, widest part of your hips and rear.
Measure vertically from the highest point of your shoulder seam straight down the front to your desired garment hemline.
Measure from your natural waistline down along the outside of your leg straight to the ankle bone or desired pant hem.
Measure from the top tip of your shoulder down the outer side of your slightly bent arm to the wrist bone.
